The production of pressed and roasted sunflower seed oil begins with the harvesting of the sunflower seeds when the back of the flower heads have turned yellow to brown and the leaves have begun to wither. The collected sunflower seeds first undergo a cleaning process, followed by a drying phase to ensure the ideal moisture content. The seeds are then dehulled to separate the shells from the seeds. These dehulled seeds are then roasted, which gives the oil a characteristic aroma and taste. The roasted sunflower seeds are mechanically pressed in an expeller press, which extracts the oil from the seeds. The resulting cake, a by-product of the pressing process, can be used as animal feed or for other purposes.
The raw sunflower oil undergoes a filtration process to remove natural suspended solids. Final laboratory analyses confirm the high level of quality and purity of our roasted sunflower seed oil. The end product is valued above all for its intense flavor and aromatic properties and is used in various culinary applications.
