Safflower oil cold pressed

Gustav Heess

The production of our cold-pressed safflower oil, also known as safflower oil, begins with the harvest of the safflower seeds in late summer, when the petals have dried and fallen off and the seeds have hardened in the flower heads. After harvesting, the seeds are thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt and other foreign matter.

The next step is to hull the cleaned seeds, leaving the hulls as a by-product. After hulling the safflower seeds, the kernels remain, from which the oil is extracted by mechanical cold pressing. This process is carried out without the use of heat or chemical additives in order to preserve the natural quality of the oil. In this process, the raw material is processed into a press cake, while the crude safflower oil is produced as a by-product.

The crude safflower oil is then filtered to remove any remaining particles and impurities. As a result, the safflower oil retains its natural nutrients and flavor. The end product is a cold-pressed safflower oil, which can be used for its versatility in cooking and cosmetics.
