Our Paraffinum perliquidum Ph. Eur. is a special liquid kerosene qualified according to the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.). Its production starts with the distillation of crude oil to separate different components. The relevant fractions are passed through several refining processes, including bleaching and hydrogenation to remove impurities. The final product is a highly pure, colorless and odorless kerosene. As it meets the requirements of Ph. Eur., it is often used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.
