The harvesting of linseed varies depending on climatic conditions and can take place either at the end of summer or at the beginning of fall with the help of combine harvesters. To produce one liter of pure linseed oil, you need about 3 kilograms of linseed grown on an approximate area of 30 square meters. After harvesting, the seeds are freed from foreign bodies such as sand, straw and stones. This is followed by a gentle drying process to preserve the sensitive fatty acids. In the oil mill, the oil is then pressed out of the seeds using only mechanical pressure. The valuable oil is then filtered to remove natural particles and suspended matter and subjected to a final quality test in the laboratory to guarantee a high-purity cold-pressed organic linseed oil.
The entire production process is based on strict ecological and social guidelines that ensure both product quality and the preservation of the ecosystem.
