The seeds of the perilla plant, also known as the shiso plant, are harvested between June and September and then stored to preserve their quality. The raw perilla oil is cold-pressed at a low temperature and filtered to remove natural particles and suspended matter. The end product is a high-purity cold-pressed perilla oil, which is prized for its high concentration of omega-3 fatty acids.
