Peanut oil pressed toasted
Gustav Heess
The production of our roasted peanut oil begins in the fields, where the peanut plants and the underground ripened nuts are harvested using specialized harvesting equipment. After harvesting, we subject the peanuts to a drying process to reduce their moisture content from 40 percent to around 5 to 7 percent, which makes the nuts last longer and reduces the risk of mold growth. After drying for up to a month, the peanuts are cleaned and then roasted. This roasting process aims to intensify the aroma of the nuts and gives the oil a characteristic, nutty flavor. After roasting, the peanuts are pressed purely mechanically. The raw peanut oil obtained in this way is then filtered to remove impurities and improve the quality of the oil. After final laboratory analyses to guarantee the purity and quality of the oil, the roasted peanut oil is ready for use, whether in the kitchen for flavorful dishes or as an ingredient in delicatessen production.
