Our organically grown sunflower seeds are harvested when the back of the flower heads have a yellowish to brownish discoloration and the leaves begin to wilt. After harvesting the sunflower seeds, we clean and then dry them to ensure the optimum moisture content. The shells are then separated from the seeds in the dehulling process. The seeds prepared in this way are crushed and subjected to a conditioning process that heats the seeds and makes them more productive for oil extraction.
The oil is then extracted from the kernels by mechanical pressure at low temperatures and then fed into a gentle refining process. The resulting oil is filtered several times to achieve a particularly high level of quality and purity. In Leonberg, we carry out final laboratory analyses on our refined organic sunflower oil to ensure that it meets our strict quality and purity requirements. Thanks to a diversified supply chain that relies on different seed suppliers and production locations, we offer a reliable supply even in the event of potential climatic fluctuations. The entire production process follows strict ecological and social guidelines that guarantee the quality of the product and the protection of the environment.
