In late summer, as soon as the evening primroses lose their flower color, the traditional, purely manual harvest of the valuable seeds begins. The harvest is cleaned and dried before being transported to the oil mill. The oil is extracted from the seeds using mechanical cold pressing and then undergoes a careful filtration process to remove natural suspended matter and residues. In this way, in addition to the essential fatty acids, a large number of valuable secondary plant substances and vitamins remain in the oil. Final laboratory analyses in our DIN ISO 17025 accredited laboratory certify the purity and quality of our virgin evening primrose oil, which enjoys great popularity in the cosmetics and food sector.
