The production of our refined avocado oil originates in the plantations of Africa, where the trees have ideal growing conditions. There, the plantations are managed according to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards, ensuring safe farming for consumers, employees, the local community and the ecological system. Examples of sustainable agricultural practices applied include mulching for moisture retention, the use of intercropping in plantations to increase diversity and moisture, managing moisture levels with probes, low-flow drip irrigation to reduce water consumption for avocado production, composting fruit residues and using 100% of the fruit, either for oil production or composting.
The pear-shaped avocados are always harvested unripe and then ripen during transportation and storage. The fruit is cleaned and chopped before being processed into a homogeneous paste with water in the malaxer in the next step. This paste is known as pulp and is passed through a pump to the decanter, which separates the mixture into oil, water and solid components. Before the raw avocado oil is purified from natural residues by repeated filtration, it undergoes a clarification and refining process. The end product is a refined avocado oil with the highest degree of purity and quality.
The production partners involved in the manufacturing process are committed to UN sustainability goals in order to strengthen climate protection and growth through innovative measures and to reduce environmental pollution.
