The fruit used for our cold-pressed pomegranate seed oil comes mainly from the Agsu region in eastern Azerbaijan, where the pomegranate trees find optimal growing conditions on an area of over 400 hectares. At harvest time, up to 15 tons of the valuable fruit are harvested here. The pomegranates are primarily used for juice extraction and the seeds are only a by-product, which makes the entire production process extremely sustainable.
Before the harvest is unloaded, a quality check is carried out on the raw material. The pomegranates are then cleaned, sorted and prepared for further processing. The juice is extracted by pressing and the peel and seeds are passed on separately. The seeds are separated from the fruit pulp and gently dried in a facility to preserve their valuable components. After further sorting, the kernels are packed in large sacks and transported to Germany, where they are crushed and the precious oil is extracted using gentle cold pressing. In the final production step, the oil is filtered to remove natural suspended solids, resulting in a cold-pressed pomegranate seed oil whose quality and purity is confirmed by a final laboratory check.
Cosmetics
The seeds that we use for our high-quality oil are a by-product of pomegranate juice production. Processing them into pomegranate seed oil is a valuable upcycling of pomegranate seeds.
